Family-Based Immigration, also known as “Immediate Relative” immigration, is the fastest way to obtain permanent resident status in the United States. If you are a U.S. citizen or green card holder and have a spouse or children under 21 years old, our family immigration attorneys can help file a petition for their green card or consulate appointment.

If you are a U.S. citizen, filing Form I-130 will allow your family members to apply for their proportional share of the 250,000 visas issued each year in five preference categories: immediate relatives (spouses, minor unmarried children,
and parents), age, family relationship, and marital status of the prospective immigrant.

The relative must be outside the United States at the time of application but may enter the U.S. with temporary advance parole before approval.

The process generally takes less than six months. Dell’Armi Law will take care of all paperwork and filing requirements.
